Palette design guide
Build harmonious palettes using complementary, analogous, triadic, and neutral scales for product UI.
Start from a brand seed
Begin with one anchor brand color. Generate harmonies from that seed rather than picking random swatches.
Add neutrals (slate, gray, or warm gray) for backgrounds, borders, and text — not every token should be saturated.
Harmony types
Complementary pairs create high energy — good for CTAs. Analogous schemes feel cohesive. Triadic palettes balance variety and structure.
Limit primary palette size: one brand hue, one accent, semantic colors (success, warning, error), and a neutral ramp.
